Australian Jazz guitarist Peter McCarthy was Australia’s first studio guitarist. When Peter took his guitar into the ABC Melbourne studios in 1928 he set the ball rolling for Australian studio guitarists.

McCarthy opened the door for studio guitarists and in the years up to 1940 the first generation of “jazzy-type” guitarists rushed through and established themselves in the broadcast and dance band worlds.

The Mike Hayes Guitar Studio, offers jazz guitar lessons covering all styles of jazz guitar playing.
